Prompts

Your competition isn't running these four Claude prompts. That's your 90-day head start.

These four Claude research prompts do the deep market intelligence work most founders either skip entirely or pay thousands to outsource. Run one this week and you start building an advantage that compounds against every competitor who doesn't.

Imagine 90 days from now. You know exactly who your customer is. You know what keeps them up at night, the language they use to describe their own frustrations, and the gaps in your market that no competitor is filling. You did not guess. You researched.

Most founders never do this work. It feels slow, it feels expensive, and it is easy to convince yourself you already know your audience well enough. The founders who actually run the research end up with sharper offers, sharper copy, and content that lands, because all of it is grounded in what real people said instead of what you assumed.

This guide gives you four Claude prompts that do that research for you. One builds your customer personas. One synthesizes your whole customer base into a single avatar. One maps exactly where your competitor is weak. One mines the raw language your audience already uses in public. Together they become the messaging foundation for everything you build next.

Before you start, here's what you'll need

The setup.

Step 01Build your customer personas

Open a new conversation in Claude and enable Web Search. This first prompt turns your best customers' domains into two or three deep psychological personas, revealing the exact language, fears, and desires your content should speak to. Replace the bracketed placeholder with your list, then let Claude do the research.

You are a world-class market researcher and conversion copywriter with 20 years of experience. I am going to give you a list of domain names from my absolute best customers. For each domain, research and identify: (1) the specific industry they are in, (2) the core problem their business solves for their clients, (3) who their target audience is, (4) the general tone of their website copy (corporate, casual, aggressive, nurturing). Then synthesize this into two to three comprehensive customer personas. I want a deep psychological breakdown, not generic fluff. Include: their biggest daily pain points and frustrations (be specific); their ultimate desires and dream outcomes; the exact conversational language and phrases they use to describe their problems (their words, not yours); the common industry beliefs they hold and the narratives they are tired of hearing; and what finally triggers them to buy versus keep scrolling. Here are my customer domains: [paste your list of domains].

Step 02Synthesize your ideal customer avatar

Where personas give you two or three profiles, this prompt collapses your entire customer base into one detailed Ideal Customer Avatar. This becomes the foundation of every offer, email, and piece of content you create. Run it in a fresh conversation with the same customer domains.

You are a world-class market researcher and conversion copywriter. I am going to give you domain names from my highest-value customers. For each domain, research and identify: (1) their specific industry, (2) the core problem they solve for their clients, (3) their target audience, (4) the tone and communication style of their messaging. Then synthesize everything into one comprehensive Ideal Customer Avatar (ICA) profile. This should be a deep psychological portrait, not a demographics list. Include: their biggest daily frustrations (the ones that actually keep them up at night); their dream outcome (what they are really buying when they invest in anything); the word-for-word language they use to describe their own problems; the industry myths and misconceptions they are completely fed up with; their decision-making triggers; and their current relationship with AI tools and technology. Here are my customer domains: [paste your list]. Output a structured ICA profile with clear headers. Be specific. Be psychological.

Step 03Map your competitor's blind spots

Now you know your customer, so you can study your competitor with purpose. This prompt maps exactly where your top competitor is weak: the gaps in their offer, their messaging blind spots, and the angles they are ignoring. The gaps Claude surfaces become your positioning and your content calendar for the next 90 days.

You are a competitive intelligence analyst. I want you to research [competitor name or website URL] and give me a complete strategic breakdown. Research and identify: (1) their core offer and market positioning, what exactly are they selling and to whom; (2) their content strategy, what topics, which platforms, what formats; (3) messaging gaps, what problems are they NOT addressing that their audience clearly has; (4) public complaints and criticisms, what are customers saying they wish was different; (5) three specific gaps in their offer or messaging that I could fill. Then also give me: five content angles my competitor is ignoring that their audience would respond to strongly; three positioning statements I could use to differentiate myself immediately; and the one thing I could say in my marketing that my competitor genuinely cannot say. My competitor: [competitor website or name]. My business: [brief description of what you do and who you serve].

Step 04Mine the voice of your customer

The most powerful copy is not written, it is collected. This prompt mines reviews, Reddit, YouTube comments, and forums to extract the exact words your audience already uses when they talk about their problem. Paste this language straight into your drafts and it will outperform anything you could write from your own head.

You are a conversion copywriter specializing in voice-of-customer research. Research reviews, comments, and public discussions about [product category or topic area] and extract the raw, unfiltered language my audience uses when they talk about this problem. Search across: Amazon or Google reviews for [related products or services]; Reddit threads and communities discussing [the core pain point]; YouTube comments on videos about [relevant content in my niche]; and any public forum discussions about [the main problem my audience faces]. From what you find, extract and organize: (1) the exact phrases and words people use to describe their problem, word-for-word, the most valuable part; (2) the specific outcomes they are hoping for, in their own words; (3) the objections and fears they mention before buying; (4) the "after" language satisfied customers use once the problem is solved; (5) what they wish existed, the gap in the market no one is filling. Topic to research: [your audience's core struggle]. My product or service: [describe what you offer].

Step 05Build your Market Intelligence Hub

Research only pays off if you use it. Save every output from the four prompts into one document called your Market Intelligence Hub. From now on, check every piece of content, every email subject line, and every offer name against it before you publish.

  • Rewrite your content pillars around the frustrations the persona and avatar prompts surfaced.
  • Use the voice-of-customer phrases word-for-word in your hooks, subject lines, and offer copy.
  • Turn the competitor gaps into your positioning and your next month of posts.
  • Revisit the hub every time you launch something new or feel disconnected from your audience.

That's it.

Four prompts, one document, and a research pass most of your competitors will never run. What you collect here tells you exactly who your customer is, where your competitor is weak, and the precise words that move your audience to act. You stop guessing, and guessing is what is slowing everyone else down.

Once you have your Market Intelligence Hub, the next step is turning it into a real content and offer system. That is exactly what we build inside Her AI Systems™.

Common questions.

What do I need before running these Claude prompts?

A free Claude account at claude.ai with Web Search enabled, a short list of your best customer domains, the name or website of one or two competitors, and a one-sentence description of what you sell and who you serve. Each prompt takes five to ten minutes.

Which Claude prompt should I run first?

Start with the Customer Persona or Ideal Customer Avatar prompt. You need to understand your customer before you study your competitor. The output becomes the messaging foundation every other prompt builds on.

Do I need to pay for Claude to use these?

No. These prompts run on a free Claude account. Enable Web Search for the best results so Claude can research live domains, reviews, and public discussions instead of relying on memory.

What do I do with the outputs?

Save every output in one document called your Market Intelligence Hub. Then check every future piece of content, every email subject line, and every offer name against it. Real customer language always outperforms copy you wrote from your own head.
