Prompts

Every number that matters in your email account, pulled in one prompt.

Instead of clicking through five different Kit screens to piece together your performance picture, this prompt pulls every number that matters in one shot and flags anything that needs your attention.

There is a difference between checking email metrics and actually understanding your email performance. Most founders do the former. They click into Kit, look at a number or two, and move on. Nothing is connected. Nothing tells the full story.

A real performance read requires looking at multiple data points at once: how your list is growing, how engaged that list is, which content is landing, and whether anything in the data signals a problem that needs attention now.

This prompt gives you all of that in a single output. It is the email audit you should be running every 30 days but probably have not been.

Before you start, here's what you'll need

The setup.

Step 01 Open Claude in Cowork mode

Start a new Claude conversation with your Kit connector active. This prompt touches multiple data points across your account, so a fresh conversation works best.

Step 02 Paste the performance snapshot prompt

Copy and paste the prompt below. Claude will pull and organize all the data for you.

Copy and paste this into Claude

Give me a full performance overview of my email marketing right now. I need: total active subscribers, how much my list has grown in the last 30 days, my average open rate and click rate over that same period, which broadcast performed best this month and which performed worst, and anything in the data that looks like a problem I should address.

Step 03 Review the growth numbers

Look at your net subscriber growth first. A declining growth rate alongside a stable open rate means your top-of-funnel needs attention. A declining open rate alongside solid growth means new subscribers are less engaged than your existing audience.

Step 04 Study the best and worst broadcasts

Claude surfaces your top and bottom performer for the month. What does the best one have that the worst one lacks? This comparison is one of the fastest ways to improve your next broadcast.

Step 05 Address any red flags immediately

If Claude flags a deliverability issue, an unusual spike in unsubscribes, or a sudden drop in open rates, prioritize it before your next send. These problems compound quickly if you wait.

That's it.

You now have a complete picture of where your email marketing stands today. Run this snapshot every 30 days, log the numbers somewhere you can track month over month, and you will always know exactly where you are heading.
