A single open rate number tells you almost nothing. What matters is whether that number is moving up or down. This prompt pulls your last 90 days, compares them to the 90 days before, and gives you a clear read on which direction you are heading.
Checking your open rate once and feeling good or bad about it is one of the most common traps in email marketing. One number with no context is just noise. What you need is direction.
Are your open rates climbing, holding steady, or slowly bleeding out? Most founders have no idea because they look at each broadcast individually instead of tracking the trend. By the time a problem is obvious, you have already lost months of momentum.
This prompt pulls two full 90-day windows of performance data from your Kit account, puts them side by side, and tells you exactly what is happening. If things are trending down, it gives you three concrete tests to run.
Make sure your Kit connector is active in Cowork mode. Once live, Claude can read your full send history without any data exports needed.

Look at my average open rate and click rate for the last 90 days and compare them to the 90 days before that. Give me both sets of numbers in a side-by-side format. Tell me whether my performance is improving or declining. If the trend is down, give me three specific things I should test to turn it around.
Claude returns two columns of numbers and a clear verdict on direction. If your numbers are up, note what changed during the better period. If they are down, move straight to the three tests Claude suggests.
Choose one of the three tests and run it for at least three broadcasts before evaluating results. Switching tactics every week is what makes trend data useless.
Run this comparison every 30 to 90 days. It takes under five minutes once the connector is set up and is the fastest way to catch engagement problems before they compound.
You now have a clear view of where your email performance is heading and a specific experiment to run. Trend data is the difference between reacting to problems and catching them early enough to fix them.
