A weekly performance report should not take you 20 minutes to build manually. This prompt pulls all your Kit metrics in under two minutes and delivers one clear action item to act on this week.
A weekly email review is one of the highest-leverage habits you can build as a founder with an email list. The problem is that most people skip it because it takes too long, requires jumping between screens, and rarely produces a clear next action.
This prompt changes the format entirely. Claude connects to your Kit account, pulls all the data that matters, and delivers it in a format that takes 90 seconds to read and always ends with one specific thing to do this week.
No more dashboards. No more tab-switching. Just one clean report, once a week.
Pick a day and time each week for your email review, ideally the morning after your regular broadcast day. Monday morning if you send on Sunday, Friday afternoon if you send on Thursday. Consistency matters more than the specific day.
Paste the prompt below into Claude with your Kit connector active.
Give me a weekly email performance report for my Kit account. Include: opens and clicks from any broadcasts sent in the last seven days, net subscriber change for the week, my current overall average open rate and click rate, any anomalies or significant changes from the prior week, and one specific action I should take this week based on the data.
The output Claude returns should be scannable. Check the numbers, read the anomaly note, and go straight to the action item. That is the only item that should move from this report into your task list for the week.
Paste this week's numbers into a running Google Doc or Notion page. After four to six weeks you will have a performance trend you can read at a glance and use to spot patterns that individual weekly snapshots cannot show you.
In Cowork mode, you can set this as a scheduled task to run every Monday morning and deliver your weekly report automatically. Set it once and never manually remember to check again.
A 90-second weekly review compounds into serious strategic clarity over months. By the end of a quarter, you will know your email marketing better than most founders know theirs after years of sending.
